"What is love?"
Said the man to the soft sky above.
"Could it be taking someone elses pain?
Is it a solemn kiss whilst we stand in the rain?"
"Well, could it be,
Something we can see?
A beautiful rose with a card still attached,
Or a locket over the heart, still precious though scratched?"
"Could it be something different,
like the dreary smell of insense?
The texture of the hair that my fingers are parting?
The excitement and wonder of something new starting?"
"I suppose if insisted,
If could be something non-existant.
Like the bond of a fate that none can escape,
Or a God-like figure of whom we are constantly shaped?"
"What is love?"
Said the man to the dark sky above.
"Is it the difference between what we are and what we feel?
Is it something else? Is it even real?"
