It just took me two years to see it through
I made my mistakes, but to be truthful
I realize how much I always needed you now
Author notes
This poem is actually something that I wrote recently and recorded as a song. I think it's at least one of my best poems (or songs) because it something that means a lot to me. It's actually concerning my current and hopefully last girlfriend and how it literally took me two years (and bad relationship mistakes) to realize that I should have chosen her all along.
I also think it's my best because it's short and gets the point across, and I've always like hearing songs or reading poems that have lines leading into the next one like I tried to do (I know there's a name for that, but I forget...I need to go back to school haha).
