What a place for the heart
In the center of the chest
So easily to reach and touch
With trust and nothing less
Your hand, so strong
You give to me
My heart I give to you
Please be careful with this piece
One break and we are through
So strong, your hand, this deciving hand
For which I trust my heart in
Your fingertips begin to curl
To crush my love again
A tear I cry, stumbles down my cheek
As you leave me with the piece
The piece that once was my heart
That you crumbled from beneath
With these tears I cried so long
My trust slowly fades away
Along the rough and lonley edges
I find closure with the remains
And yet words fix nothing
My heart can never mend
Only slowly does it begin to scar
And gently beat again
So trust you not with my heart
The fairest of my soul
Where my love is hard to find
But inside it always grows
