Look for the rainbow
When raindrops appear.
And you'll surely find
There's one waiting near.
For there is some good
In all that life brings,
And rainbows can be
The most beautiful things.
Lifting your spirits
And telling you too,
That soon your skies
Will be cloudless and blue.

I'm not sure if I like the last two lines.. I don't think they flow as well as the rest of the poem..
I wrote this in 6th grade during one of those rare Arizona rainstorms. I just never posted it here until now.

I like it a lot, and actually think the last two lines are great. I do feel like it needs one more stanza, though. I thinkk it would be more affective. Perhaps have a pre-stanza focussing more on the rain?

I really like this. I've never read such a short poem that I've enjoyed more. Rainbow's are a sign of joy and that all sad times do eventually come to an end.
