Being able to write is a very special gift
Something that not too many people possess
It is a talent that some are born with
Others acquire it from their every day lives
You should never be discouraged by your gift
Find ways of becoming one with your craft
Believe in it and most of all, always remember
To believe in yourself and what you can do
You may win some and lose some
But, keep your mind working and thinking
Follow the steps that others have taken
And find ways of making them your own and unique
Hold onto your talent and never let it go
Your best piece maybe the next one that you write
Even if it is, always try to improve on it
Tell yourself that you can do better and you will
It's just a matter of time before you find it
When you do, embrace it and let it envelope you
Get lost in your imagination and inspirations
Make sure that you can feel your words while reading them
If you don't, then others won't as well
Life is filled with triumphs and tribulations
Be inspired by anything and everything around you
If writer's block is present, write about it
In time you will have written something
Something very worthwhile and breathtaking
The start of a new and promising career
You can do it, I know you can!
