Long Before We Knew

Dreaming of the forgotten past
back then when we were all friendly and glad
and love was so strong and built to last
and held together through good and bad
yes we were friends we were friends to death

Long long time ago
we could do anything
long long time ago
before we knew what life
would turn us into

back then when we believed in the future
and that everything would last forever
a time of friendship and hope
before we got addicted to something called power
and money is something you cannot be without
at least so it sound coming from the highest towers

Dreaming of the forgotten past
back then when we were young and open minded
and we dreamt that the world was ours to improve
and we thought that everything looked so bright
and everything we did felt so up to date
and so we started to inhale the fake wisdom
leading the way into mindless grinding
we manged to get completely lost in broad daylight

back then when we believed that everything would last
before we understood what humans and this world is like
and there was hope and joy in our eyes
when we were stretching ourselves to see above the skies
free to give pure love from our hearts
a long time before we knew
what all those sorts of manipulation could do
back when we were young and innocent resistant to lies

Dreaming of the forgotten past
back then when nothing could ever go completely wrong
and even if I know that time can never be reset
and time travel is impossible so what is the meaning of regrets
dreaming constantly of the adventure
we once lived in before everything went totally out of control
and we lost our skills to separate between true and false songs
coming from someone that was once young
I just have to admit humans have no honor left
only greed and disrespect
