Beneath the Shade of Sycamore Trees

Summer's wind soothes our souls' deep ache,
shadows comb with romance's rake.
Swaying limbs stir a potent spell,
my love's eyes flow from passion's well.

Her arms give flight unto my heart,
each touch pierces with desire's dart.
Moaning wounds end with gasping knell
my love's eyes flow from passion's well.

Entwined with glow of ecstasy,
cupid's magic felt through each tree.
A heated tale lips will not tell,
my love's eyes flow from passion's well.

Summer's wind soothes our souls' deep ache,
my love's eyes flow from passion's well.

Author notes

Name: penman

A Kyrielle Sonnet

Consists of 14 lines (three rhyming quatrain stanzas and a non-rhyming couplet).
Just like the traditional Kyrielle poem, the Kyrielle Sonnet also has a repeating line or phrase as a
refrain (usually appearing as the last line of each stanza). Each line within the Kyrielle Sonnet
consists of only eight syllables. French poetry forms have a tendency to link back to the beginning
of the poem, so common practice is to use the first and last line of the first quatrain as the ending
couplet. This would also re-enforce the refrain within the poem. Therefore, a good rhyming scheme
for a Kyrielle Sonnet would be:
AabB, ccbB, ddbB, AB -or- AbaB, cbcB, dbdB, AB.

    A beautiful sonnet

I love sonnets even if they are not my forte'. These Kyrielles are very nice and flowing like the breeze through sycamore trees. I LOVE sycamore trees like are in Andrew's Park in my home town where I visited last weekend.

    Very Good.

Not sure I'm met a Kyrielle Sonnet before. This flows very well and I like the rhyme. I like love poems and this is a nice one.

How are you, penman? Thanks for entering my contest.

    Andy
