Every hour that passes by is just another molecule
Every day that I breathe makes this atom
And every atom that I live makes this living being
This life
Your core, your nucleus, your center
Is the only thing that sustains you in the hours
YOUR.
SOUL.
INSIDE.
Rip yourself apart and dig deep within
Pull out your pulse
And time how long it lives
Outside of you
How long will it take to reconnect?
Count
The hours.

I enjoyed the line "pull out your pulse". Probably the best line in the piece. I know this isn't really fair as I didn't state what I was looking for in the contest, but this wasn't what I was looking for.

wow, thats really cool, i definitely like how this is written, really draws in the reader and allows intuitive thought.
