a wolf was playing alone, and getting bored
she had some melodies stuck in her head
but wanted to get them published, she said
her name is marie and she plays real swell
she looks like a rocker, and you can tell
she's been playing for years and wont give up
til shes a superstar famous pup
she wanted to form a band, of rock and roll
so she posted up some flyers, on walls at school
she listed her number, email and screenname
dreaming of the glory of going into fame
and then a few days later, she got some phone calls
some of them were really lame pranks but not all
the first legit one was from a tiger named peter
who played keyboards, and wanted to meet her
the day after that, they played in her room
she played her rhythms, he made up some tunes
it all meshed together so very very well
they finished 2 songs and got a call from Joelle
Joelle is a drummer and has been for years
she won some awards and was loved by her peers
saying she would love to play in a rock band,
this raccoon came over and the three of them jammed
Marie said 'we sound great but we need two more things'
and they all remembered they needed someone to sing
they new of a pretty white snow leopard whom
was very well known to sing, whistle and hum
her name was Jasmine and could sing any style
but rock and roll was her preference by a mile
the band was near perfect and needed one thing
a bassist fox that moved here last spring
his name was toddy, and had a six string bass
he's played around the world and all over the place
the last thing they needed was a band name
so they decided to make one up not too plain
they picked out some words from the top of their heads
and called themselves "Green banana beadspread"
together they made the greatest rock band ever
they are very glad they made this endeavor
they toured in US, UK, and japan
they never sold out to any name brands
altogether, five albums they published
all five of them defienetely found their niche
ive told you the story of 5 big rockers
who started by just an ad on their lockers
