Dream on, my dear Goose
Miss Kimberly has let me loose!
I'm running all over the place
I've left her without a trace
plenty of food to fill my belly
met a girl, her name is Nelly
we had babies, six tiny bunnies
I tell stories, lots of funnies
in the winter we'll shack together
in a burrow in cold weather
to keep us warm, we'll snuggle up
drinking hot toddies from a cup
our babies huddled in their beds
dreams of Santa in their heads
hoping for some little gift
my little babies are so swift
but one day they will hump each other
doesn't matter, sister and brother
'cause that's the way we bunnies like it
we'll multiply and we won't quit!
Okay, I didn't really let him go, but I had fun writing the story. He's outside, though, with the other bunnies. He needs a girlfriend! Ack! Poor little Skippy Bippy.

Haha... I hear they taste like chicken, too, but if anyone kills my bunnies and eats them, they will be poisoned by my secret formula that has been injected into their food. It doesn't harm them, but the person who kills them and eats them will die and will never kill another rabbit again! Amen!

The poem fits ideally with the picture-prompt. And "Bunny" is the ideal title; anything as austere as "rabbit" or even "cute, fuzzy baby rabbit" just wouldn't fit. Good poem for "laughing out loud."

Thank you for visiting and your comments, micol. I have 14 bunnies and one of them is named "Bunny" - haha! He was the first and I just couldn't think of any other fitting name for him. They are so happy to have room to roam and play, much more fun than watching them sit in a cage!
