conversations in coffee shops

i thought
you were one of
those who lived and breathed and
loved but you disappointed me
greatly

smoke from
your cigarette
burns my eyes like tears held
back too long and broken hearts left
unfixed

cold keeps
us locked in this
house talking for hours about
the meaningless beauty that we
call life

now is
filled with promise
today I will conquer
the world set out like silverware
to seize

Please tell me what you think

Very nicely done, you fill the pieces with mood without 'telling' the reader but showing it..
Each of these are very strong and stand wel on there own or as a grouped theme.

    Excellent work here.

    WELCOME TO ALLPOETRY!

I thought this piece was just perfect. I loved this. I think that is because it reminded me alot of my youth. I could just feel like I was there. Welcome to the site and feel free to ask me any questions.
