A serving saint
More regular than any
Traveling from east to west
Bringing light to the earth.
It gives light
So also colors
to the leaves and flowers
A water drop in the air
Unfolds its colors
As a beautiful rainbow.
Cooks food
In plants and trees
Appear disk like
Without this disk rolling across
World doomed to darkness.
A navigator par excellence
Steers the seasons
One by one
Attends the entire earth in a day
Slips in the west
Emerges in the east
Without leaving a trace behind.
Never took a center stage
in poets mind,
as its sister moon,
Moments with it
are action packed,
While moon is soothing
both share a marvelous job
to keep million lives going.

Very deep in thought on this one.You have given me a new perspective on this piece.A new way of looking at it per say.I can tell alot of thought went into this.It shows in every line of this piece.I sincerly hope that you will win this one.You are very descriptive in this work but not overly so.I like your contrasting of the sun and moon.

This is brilliant. There are so many great lines here and you have done such a wonderful tribute to the sun. And i like how you have said the sun does not receive the attention that the moon gets. I have never thought of it in this way before. Great writing.

Good
I agree with you not much gets writen about the sun. The moon gets all the attention. I like the line "
Never took a center stage
in poets mind,
as its sister moon,
Never took a center stage
in poets mind,
as its sister moon," good imagery best of everything with the contest
