Edna and Fred were crazy they said,
so in a hospital did roam.
Until one day, to Edna they'd say,
you are "normal" and you can go home.
Good news they said "you saved Fred,
from drowning in the pool."
Bad news they said "poor ol' Fred,
hung himself from a stool."
"Oh no!" said Edna as she waved goodbye.
"Fred didn't kill himself, I hung him out to dry!"

4. Ever know someone who's mentally ill? Tell me about it.
Yes, it was a joke sent in an e-mail. I changed the joke into a poem...not an original idea at all..but the funniest thing I've heard in awhile....

hmmmm I really didn't expect any funny poems in my contest... It was a kind of happy up-beat little rhyme scheme... huh... I don't know what else to say except thank you for entering my contest!

I didn't expect to get much humor in this contest, I have to admit it literally made me "Laugh Out Loud". Thanks for the entry!

I am certain I have read a poem like this somewhere. Someone sent me an email with one very similar if not exactly like this-I'll have to go back and see if I can find it to show you.

I am fighting the incredible urge to type "roflmfao." Oops, I guess I just did. I literally did burst out into laughter when I read the last line.
I'm going to have to add you to my favorites and browse around your other poems tomorrow.
