dark intentions running wild
disrespect, wheres the love?
children smoking pot, getting drunk
hearts breaking, souls crying
my soul divided, not knowing where to turn
lost in confusion in the game of love
pushed and shoved, abused and used
unwanted by love, will i ever find the guy?
turn to the left, "would you like a beer?"
turn to the right, "have a puff and you'll be fine"
children robbing stores, parents slapping shitless
while litle girl on street tries to make a buck
the world has turned to ash
dark intentions running wild
no respect for the old,
no shelter for the young
dry those tears little girl
daddy donesn't care, be strong and move along
to the streets, gotta feed the others
selling the body, losing your heart,
"wheres my knight on a white horse?, she says
"gone, he doesn't care for you...so it seems"
Please tell me what you think

You paint a dark image here I hope your world isn’t like this. I like the flow and the message hell I like the poem. The only distractions are the misspells your better then that. Focus.

Hmm... can't really figure out what to say about this poem but I do like it. Write some more. It's real good

excellent
It is sad to see that the world has fallen to this state, particularly when it involves young children in the manner you describe. This excellent poem of yours should be read by a wider group of people than just those of us on AllPoetry, as you have expressed a message for all people everywhere. Thank you for sharing this poem. I would like to print it and share it with our church group who are currently looking for ways of helping those people out of those situations that you describe.
