in a lane of memories
artist's canvas
large expanse of red veined black
close the lids to can of sorrow
walking forward, looking back
seeking the x-marked moment
treasure chest buried
in oblivious
hindsight path to
murmured whispers
grasping
reaching
to clasp sunsets
masked with a
tequila aftertaste
charred jewels clog
the sneak-a-toke
stuck in the back
of bedside table
drawer
disregarded caress
litter on the highway
traveled but unnavigated
begrudged the jealous
glove box-guarded map
submariners
are too cool
to use
mother's periscope
fresh squeezed
juice on the menu
eyesight goes
bifocal
vision clears
contemplate
the marmalade

Good job! It's been awhile since I've read your work; you've been scarce. I miss you. This is wonderful and sometimes we should walk away but sometimes tequila sunsets aren't all they seem. Interesting the large amount of white space below the poem; a lot like another poet here.
Love,
Sis ♥
