i am letting the telephone ring, the cool receiver a memory of your tone trapped in a repeating loop of "goodbye, love just wasn't us." it's like this at the spark of dawn, a crack of sunlight welcoming everything but you. one more day; i wait for the annihilation of ourselves, the destruction that is so sure of my name, my height and number. i can hear your name again, calling out, asking me to reconsider my renovated mind, feeling as though one plea will rewrite the graffiti and history of two long decades of closing lungs and flashing vacant signs. it's so cold alone, but i am letting the telephone ring for the second time today. it's early. i'm young and the thought of this game lasting another hour is what keeps the air so thick and warm; the thrill of ignorance. the choke of another day in solitude.

hmmm... this is interesting, i like the wording but it would have been better if you had laid it out like a poem.
well done and good luck -
interesting choice of metaphors and imagery - quite intense and suits the theme of this well. Lots of soul in this write - best of luck in the contest that you entered.

let's just start a band right now. we'll be more than amazing. maybe the photo you emailed me can be the cover. it'd either polarize or be a hit. too bad you moved.

its always been my dream to have my ass on the cover an album by two kids who decided to form a band on a whim. im so game.

good. then let's do what tegan and sara do, and record albums together yet never meet for it. seriously... how strange/ cool is that? they each stayed at their own respective houses in alberta and ontario... or whatever... who cares about canada?... and recorded the album, and spliced it together.
it'll be amazing. really, it'll just be a cheap ploy for money and fame but when have we ever resisted celebrity status even on this site? never. -
-
true true. ive always wanted to have a cult following.
-
-
same here.
we'll appeal to all the cool kids with a dream. except only our dreams come true. (we live in such a fantasy. we're probably not even celebs on ap. or at least anymore. boy, when the mask falls off it sure makes a thud.) -
-
pssshhhht. we achieved celebrity for a moment there as that guy who does the multiround contests and that guy with too much ego and not enough sympathy. a moment more than all these other losers. hahahaha
