One

one thought was all it took
for me to start wondering about you
one glance was all it took
for me to fall under your spell
one smile was all it took
for me to crave the feel of your lips on mine
one touch was all it took
for me to want you to feel my skin
one wink was all it took
for me to want to give you my heart
and one heart was all you needed
to take and to break

one scream was all it took
for you to know you’d made me crazy
one tear shed was all it took
for you to know i would’ve been yours
one drop of blood was all it took
for you to know my heart was destroyed
one blank stare was all it took
for you to know my spirit was broken
one cry for help was all it took
for you to know i was weak
and one weakness was all you needed
to discover and to exploit

one broken heart was all you needed
to know that you were strong enough to break it
one girl once in love with you was all you needed
to know that you were irresistible enough to win me
one mortal life lost was all i needed
for me to want to come back for revenge

the feelings that crashed down on me that night
indescribable
the want and need i felt for you
sheer torture
i pined for you and i could never have you again
i want to get my revenge

and now i am.
now i am here.
come to me.

goodbye.
love.
me.

very interesting piece Katy-Kat, you're right, very different from your normal work. I liked it, it seemed very dark and emotional. Good to see you write again hun

An intensely emotional and personal poem that uses the prompt very well indeed. Best of luck in my contest, and thanks for entering.
