The brick wall

"Picture inspired"

You stare at a brick wall
it tells you noting, nothing
about yourself.

So you turn to find
another brick wall, staring
back at you.

Trapped you’re thinking
about breaking, breaking
the thick mirror.

But it won’t fail
as you hit it, hit it
with force.

Confounded you cry
and the brick wall falls, falls
crushed by emotion

You stair at the rubble
and you wonder, wonder
”am I ...?”

So you turn to see
more tears, staring
back at you.

    Cirion,

I very much like the interesting way you have written this; the repetition of some words in the stanza helps bring in the strength

    Excellent
