Blind-sided by a world of greed,
Rampant when so many need.
Ostracized for abnormalities,
Kneeling before the Gods, to please.
Evacuate thoughts within my mind,
Nourishing hearts pure and kind.
Wars and hatred, left in tears,
Implying will with little fears.
None more deserving than the other,
Gifted lives, our sisters and brothers.
Spare the soul, each to keep,
Soft and gentle, hear them weep.
Tread careful for whom or what may come,
Instill the morals to our young.
Lift spirits in future generations,
Loving, living- all creation.
For when we must finally say goodbye,
let go the tears I wouldn't cry,
Your broken wings, will still fly.

Symbolizing the terror of life in the world, yet finding the hope and faith to look beyond the bad and see the good. For that is the true spirit of faith, that no matter what pain has been endured, happiness to balalnce it can still be achieved. For we can all be broken yet still find the courage to fly. Very well done and many thanks for entering into the contest.
