She fell into a foetal curl
with spider silk cradling
venomous black holes, &
a supernova under her skin.
Pulling bamboo shoots from
fingernails she draped herself
in the heart-blood of a thousand lovers,
as rolling prayers
seek answers in
the never-known.

This piece is a good take on the picture prompt, though the picture seems sombre and this piece certainly adresses the sadness and pain, the writing doesn't come across as sombre, but richer and more colorful.
Good write and congrats on silver.
