Coming to Get You

I fly out as a bat in the night,
as I seem to finally have sight.
No one but I knows where you are,
but you should pray for your dear life,
for your feet won't get you far.

I close in on you and screech,
as you run and befuddle your speech.
I laugh in total wickedness,
as I sink my teeth into your neck.
You cry and scream in desperation,
but it would all be for nothing,
for you will soon be dead.

You reach in desperation for your pocket,
while I continue to drain you of your blood.
I hold onto you and laugh again for me,
but I lose grip in the dirty mud.

You reach in your pocket
and pull out a stake.
I screech and moan in agony,
while you slash it through my heart.
I collapse, knowing it's over.
At the moment, I wish it were over.

A knock comes at the door
as I scream the words 'but how?'
In come a couple whores,
I wonder what they're here for.
I look into your eyes,
as I notice a look of surprise.
You laugh and I burn,
as you look away and you turn.
You pull the trigger,
bursting their brains out,
and you leave the house.

I was a stupid Vampire that day,
but I had won in a way.
I have been revived now,
and I begin to laugh her laugh,
for I had found out how.
The rest is for me to know,
and you to find out.

Author notes

I thought this was an interesting idea for a contest, for I hardly get the chance to do a poem about a Vampire or Vampires. I thought this was a good idea, so I went on with it.

Also, to explain the transition from VERSE 4 to VERSE 5:
The girl had moved the Vampire to her house and was standing there, studying him. The two whores were sent there by the girl, but she had said to them that two men were awaiting their arrival.

So, there really isn't a good guy in this poem. The girl is more of the good guy, though.

The dark vampire world is not a thriller for me..but it is your world...Glad to see he got it...Hate bats, and it is in the same category.....But your world is in the dark...Have a AP sister that likes the dark.....I think it has to do with one's preferences and personality....... I light the light except when I am sleeping......
