Inspired by many personal experiences. I wanted to show just how long I'd be willing to wait for someone, whether they moved and might come back someday, we grew apart, or possibly even other reasons. Most of my friends would ALSO wait ridiculously long for me!

Awww! This is so sweet! I totally love it. It's cute and it gets the point across. It's somewhat humorous, but not goofy or childish at all. I absolutely love the rhyme scheme, too. I love the lines "I'll wait until the world goes 'poof', Until my bookshelf splits;". It's simply amazing!
