If Only
Whispers dance upon the wind:
gentle thoughts leading to daydreams,
simple moment apart from self,
little visions of what could be;
fairies call out to us,
like the scent of an absent flower,
a loving lost touch remembered;
they need us to know they’re real.
Whether deep wooded glen, cold city street,
the midst of making love
or a time of senseless abuse,
their presence is perpetual;
they know all the answers,
every wing beat is a wish to help
but fairies can’t be seen when not believed;
if only the masses would listen.

I love the almost cartoon effect this one had. What I'd like to know is how you extended the background of the umbrella all the way across the page and the umbrella takes up only the border. I'm still learning, but I haven't learned how to do anything but tiled or smooth, untextured backgrounds. I'd like to put some variety into the bg itself. Great bg, by the way.
