Betty vs Jessica

She was every boy's dream girl,
a cartoon before her time,
more for men than children,
thankfully we kids didn't know.

She can't hold up to anime',
but she had her curves and flair,
Betty sang and danced
in her flimsy, skin-tight clothes.

A scandal she would have been,
but somehow she escaped
the cutting room floor,
perhaps because of who she was.

She was Betty,
and perhaps she had made her point
on the casting couch
in a grand office
as she sang "Boop-boop-a-doop."

So Betty had her way,
and sat on her golden throne
as the queen of the cartoon screen--
until Jessica Rabbit came to town.

    Betty Boop and Jessica Rabbit...
well this certainly a surprise. I never expected something like this. Both write and border compliment one another well.

    Keep the paint flowing!
    Blessings

Very good background and it fits the poem well. I must agree with you and leo2. Betty is definitely a classic. The girl you took home to Mom and Jessica is the girl you took home to Dad. Overall a very nice job.

What a pretty background. Betty is classic, the kind of gal you'd take home to Mom. Jessica is the type you'd hide from Mom...lol. Best of luck in the contest.

    Sincerely,
    Leo Long
ps. Love the Betty bride and lace.

Yes, but I'm not really sure Mom would approve entirely of Betty either. She was a little risque for her time as well.

Thanks, Sis. Actually, my backgrounds are not nearly as good as most. I use MS Paint for most of the construction. I also have sTile that is really good for cropping and certain effects. Mostly I'm flying by the seat of my pants.

Also, I joined the Graphicoholics Group and took the class on Paint. There are two parts of the class now. It's a good class to take.

Thanks, Sweetie. I think Betty was a bit before my time, too, but she was good for reruns for many, many years. However, Jessica isn't "bad" She's just drawn that way. As for me, I like Roger.
