Writing is what sustains us,
gives us a voice of our own.
We can shout, whisper, speak-
in a way we couldn't alone.
It's just you and the paper
you as you touch the keys;
able to filter through it
before anyone else sees.
Author notes
Writing gives us a special voice, that allows even the timid to say what they want. (Like me.....) I find it freeing, able to take loads off your chest. It sure feels good!
