another day stripping
another layer of my soul
there is no peace in silence
no rest for my weary soul.
leaden heart waiting silently
pondering thoughts of doom,
dark angels tease mercilessly,
as I lie alone in this darkened room.
darkness swallowed uncried tears
that burned like acid in my throat
the merciless taunting not ceasing,
my mind slowly spiralling, losing grip.
with cruel precision, they stalk their prey
weaving false reality and illusion of sanity
the haunted mind screaming, groping for release
as I rush headlong into batlle
with my own inner beast.
and then a sudden silence pervades the room,
all at once a peaceful repose,
my weary soul had found solace...
in the sweet embrace of the dark abyss,
as sleep lulls this weary soul of mine,
to find release for just a while.

Well I do like the direction you took, but the flow left something to be desired.
