Burning, a massive inferno.
A flaming ball of destruction
consumes everything.
All thoughts, now charred cinders,
Keep senses trapped
under a blanket of rage.
And memories blow through,
a strong gust that fans the flames.
A fleshy shell - resilient -
contains the disasters
until?
Yet inside,
like the phoenix
I burst into flames
am destroyed
Then pick myself up,
Brush off
and start again.
Just because I am
and I will continue to be
until the fire burns out of control...
