copper-skinned beetles
carve poetry in pottery;
garnet-strung ideas
thread imagination
into jewellery loops
and tapestries twist
through holes
in mud-brick walls.
hieroglyphic questions
clutter windowsills;
pomegranate-peel clouds
transform like insects
in west-facing sunsets,
tangling themselves
in superstitious
rituals of art.

This was brilliant.. And an artistic and poetic mess for sure. This was really, really strong for a short write... I can't imagine how good this will be when extended.
Already, there is a ton of metaphor and symbolism to get my attention..
Looking forward to your extended version.
