What Did I Do Wrong?

-God!
All my life I've wanted
to please you with my life.
I sacrificed, I trusted.
I put my life entirely
in your hands.
You said you'd carry my load!
You promised to never fail me!
So why do I feel this burden?
This weight that brings me down?
Why am I still bearing this weight
When you promised
I could fly!?

-My Child,
You are wrong and confused.
I still carry the weight
of those burdens you have cast
upon Me.
The weight that you feel
is no burden.
I have placed a cape on your shoulders,
A crown on your head.
The weight you feel now
is the weight of My kingdom.
I have placed you in charge
of seeing that My kingdom comes.
Right now, you are seeing this weight
as something holding you down
something holding you back.
But surly I tell you,
It will set you free.
And when your heart
believes this is true,
You will fly.
And nothing will ever
weigh you down
again.

Please tell me what you think

    A lovely piece...

A lovely piece; when perception and reality do not match up, then we tend to find conflict; whatever we do, we must be grounded upon His Word; nicely done. --Joe

You have penned such an uplifting poem here. Yes we need to give up our burdens and pain to God. It will just weigh us down in life and keep us fronm being Happy. When we truly trust and give all to the Lord we will be happy. Thank you for sharing this. Such a pleasure to read this morning. You take care, Grammy

    An interesting piece...

An interesting piece; we tend to get into trouble when reality and perception differ; we always must remember to rely on Him and His promises; nice job. --Joe

    awwww

The thing that immediately to mind is the following scripture: Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30 “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Jesus wants to carry all our burdens. I know sometimes when things feel heavy to me I have to remind myself of that fact that it's his job to carry the load. God bless you, Mark
