Within yourself doesn’t lies the strength to open your mouth and say the word
Within yourself burns a secret that you fear to unveil in a kiss
Deep you keep the dagger, leading it to the abysm in your interior
Alone in your silence you realize, a face that calls you while says no more
Within yourself corrupts your being the pain of your lie and the approaching fear
Within yourself hides a wish, to take that body between your legs
But you don’t say a word; dreams call you while silence devours you
You take one step back and resign to let go into the void of your own lie
Within yourself a lightning, a scream and a strife
Within yourself the conviction that dreams do come true
Yet not the strength to begin theirs material realization
A half life, surrendered to yourself, is what your fear awaits you with

Sorry for the long wait~ I'll promise to judge by tomorrow ~ I've been waiting on Dark to give me her two cents ~ She told me earlier~ but there were some additional poems submitted since then. I sent her a message... a few days ago~
If I don't hear from her by Friday I will close and judge then ~ Let me know if you have any problems waiting until then ....
Thanks

As far as looking at poetry, I tend to look at two things, the structure or form then the words... the form is not the best I think if you try to structure this it would really go over the top. HOWEVER the words so make up for the format. Clearly you have posed how it feels to live with fear or phobias... It does come within, and those who live with this don't want others to know. Excellent job~
Thanks for entering the contest~ remember there is another judge who must view this too~ good luck to you ~ got my vote~ -
Really strong poem about fear--excellent last line--"A half life, surrendered to yourself, is what your fear awaits you with." Good luck in the contest!
