The Earth is a living thing.
Right now, when she's so perfect
(when the light falls just so,
when the trees, flowers, and brook conspire
to create such glory and joy)
I feel at peace.
The Earth is a living thing,
She grows and changes constantly,
like a girl in the ripeness of life.
And this is her present to me.
