Autumn Haze

In the haze of autumn days,

What's young is now turning old,

Vibrant leaves are changing,

From green to russet and gold,

Evening light is soon autumn night,

And the days are cool and short,

Morning dew and a misty hue,

A gentle breeze makes leaves cavort,

Farmers reaping while summer is weeping,

For its life that is now passed by,

A cooling shower to revive the flower,

While a rainbow crosses the sky,

Moistened earth gives gentle birth,

To wallflowers, pansies and 'mums,

Harvesters whirr and small creatures stir,

And the workers are gathering plums,

In the glaze of autumn days,

To the birds the south starts to call,

There's every reason to revere this season,

Glorious autumn - the fabulous fall.

Your words certainly compliment the beautiful photo of natures paint show of colour. Really lovely write and could almost smell the special aroma of tangy leaves, misty mornings and the late flowers. Very well done
