selflessness is
giving everything you have
and not expecting anything back
but many a time in life,
that is exactly what we fail to do
in trying to help others,
we always at the back of our minds,
expect something in return
because it is in the nature
of human beings
to want things in return
especially when they do good things
but to be selfless
in a wonderful state of being
one in which we are even willing to give up
our lives to save soemone else's
but to what lengths will someone go?
some people naturally give
and spread so much love around
that their legacy lives on
but some on the other hand,
manipulate and twist the truth
using propaganda
and making themselves seem like they care
but all they want is the name
to be remembered by their name

I... I'm not sure if this was a poem, or just a paragraph broken down into lines and stanzas. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed your definition very much, and I think you almost hit it dead on. In fact, I was getting very excited as I read past the first two stanzas.
Now, I don't want you to be angry at me for my comment, because I mean it in no disrespect. I don't expect rhyme or anything like that. It's simply the fact that this read like a paragraph instead of a poem. Other than that and the many punctuation and capitalization errors, I enjoyed reading this very much. I think you should move with this idea, and make it flow a little more. Add a little more. -
Beautiful once again!
Entirely truthful! Again, I loved the richness of your write and all the truth you poured behind this piece
I loved the last two stanzas, mostly, because they are so well written and so very true! I loved this. Absolutely 100% true. And written so well.
Great write, you have some amazing talent dear
