There’s a fairy in my bathtub
Upon a bar of soap.
To know just how she got there
is more than I can hope.
That she floats there is no doubt,
she’s plain enough to see,
With those wings upon her back,
and as white as she can be.
Most men would stare and wonder
at such a unique sight.
But I’m a nervous fellow,
So I thought, “Fight or flight.”
“She looks like she’d be trouble
But I won’t wait to see!
For all I know, just one quick blow
Would be the end of me!"
So I acted nonchalant,
and whistled harmlessly.
And made believe I had no care--
No fairy did I see.
I tiptoed to the bathtub edge,
and struggled there in vain.
Until I finally reached my goal…
The plug inside the drain.
