God's Plan

God's Plan

It seems God has a plan

And that’s remorseless evolution

To keeping numbers in check

By this practical solution

Dinosaurs are long gone . . plus

Other species related . .

Yes . . the importance of animals

Is without doubt overrated

To me crocodiles are useless

They can bit off your head . .

Their extinction won’t lose me much sleep

When I go to bed . .

And I feel spiders and snakes

We can well do without

They give me the shivers

When they are crawling about

Yes . .To keep the world balanced

I’m sure God has a plan

But God now has a problem

And that’s the interference of man

Man keeps safeguarding the weak. .

When God wants just the strong to survive

And when God tries to thin numbers

Mankind keeps them alive . .

But my money is on God . .

I’ve long been His number one fan

And it seems He has an easy solution . .

Simply to . . eradicate   . . . man. . .

And to be really candid

It won’t take very much stealth

God will just walk away

And man will eliminate himself

And the world will then flourish

And soon a new age will be dawning

But sadly man won’t be here . .

Because we ignored all the warnings

    EXCELLENT

Don't know if you're being facetious or not about God, and his-her intention for mankind.  I am convinced the universe reveals Intelligent Design. Please see "Fate":

You write real poetry (rhyming), and it is thought provoking -- a cut above.

Powerful, Albert! Yes, man will do away with man. We're killing each other in so many ways while we're believing we are surviving extinction. The irony . . . I've given up on the "old woman" poem and have decided to let it travel where it may. That's good enough for me and I'll just enjoy the journey in cognito. Hope you have been well. Good to see you again. Keep traveling. There's so much to see! Love and blessings sent your way.--Kel :

    Powerfully written

    Albert,

Thank you for sending me the link to your poem. I have not been on in weeks.
Now to the poem... I firmly believe this too. We are all, in some way and form are destroying our world. We are careless and only think of ourselves. Fortunately, there are people who care enough to do something and even voice out their opinion so others can listen. I find it so sad how man is harming our planet and not just human to human, but human to animal. So this brings extinction as you very well have stated. All to sad. Thanks Albert for bringing this to our attention.

another nice poem....full of nice ideas although a couple of them I don't agree with...still all in all its a great poem...keep up the great work, Al.

I noticed one misspelling...in the 3rd stanza second line bit should have been bite.

Hi - Thanks for your comment

Sadly God decrees that we all will eventually will die – I don’t agree with that either . . . but God always has the last word . .

      Albert.
