I fell on graceless tides of pain
standing out amid the rain
lacerations on my back
way too young for fighting back
disappointed and frustrated
chained to misery so fated
I had it taken out on me
so I'll take it out on you…
But that is only one such story
for, if man is to reach his glory
there cannot be the mild and meek
who whimper and turn the other cheek-
it is your toughness I will pursue
if I have to beat it into you.
Do not see me as a bully
you do not understand things fully-
you are weak, I am strong
it is my job to spur you on-
we are tribe, you and I,
fighting in order to survive,
no room for weaklings, so, you see
I must make you more like me.
So, you weak, contemptible soul
strength and honor are my goal
not for me, but for you
even though you have no clue-
your lack of foresight I despise
so dry-up both your teary eyes
and smarten up, do not stray
where I (they) can bring you such dismay.
Consider this your training ground
while I'm kicking you around
for someday you'll be strong like me
for our survival is the key.

Author notes
I was once little and weak (and still am, depending on the crowd I'm around!), and I, like anyone, experienced bullying... the world is more primitive than we'd like to admit, and perhaps we need it that way more than we'd like to admit...

wow ap dad!!! YOU did an awesome job on this poem!!! It deserved to win... I was bullied really bad in school and I feel that it did make me stronger and now I can help the students I'm teaching if they are being bullied.... Again, great job on this!!!
Hugs,

Hey! But remember- not every bully is so honorable! There are some plain sicko's out there! (and they start young, says my Kintergarden-teaching wife...!)

I never got bullied because I'm that crazy weird freak kid that laughs too much and has an impenetrable force-field of happy. And if someone dares to have something to say I will say something so delicate yet sarcastic that they don’t know that I actually tearing them a new one...
^_^
And the rule goes that you never hit a crazy person, anyway.

Well, the REAL secret is to let out that you have six mean and very protective brothers/cousins who just graduated high school! (only works for high-school bullies and below...)(but may inhibit guys from asking you out!)
