she paints the line of vermilion
on this her wedding day
across her forehead
the glowing red
to show that she is taken
she'll play out her role
as a mother and wife
always with the vermilion line
the glowing red
that gives meaning to her life
until the day she dies
she'll paint the line
of vermilion on her forehead
the glowing red
after all it is tradition

I really like this poem! You took your color and made it represent something so much more--marriage. I love cultural poems, as I am multicultural myself. It was very simple but very powerful in just a brief, effective message. The repetition of "the glowing red" is beautiful, and adds flavor!
Good job, and good luck! -
good, one of my favourite songs is called Vermillion, I like how you use the descriptive words here and the layout is easy to read...lovely, well done X
