She races through time
on her horse of ivory
through a meadow
of balance and freedom,
destroying hunger
by feeding us with love.
She lifts our heads
from dreadful cliffs,
and leads our journey
to a hopeful sight
where the cannons fire
on ships of aspiration.
She completes empty wishes
with a smile of golden stars
and with one embrace of warmth
the light from her eyes
can turn tears into rivers of security
that will save me time and time again.

Great
"the light from her eyes
can turn tears into rivers of security
that will save me time and time again."
These words ring
forever true.
Played from your heart
Mirroring me
reflecting
upon
you.
Kerri, your poetry always affects me in the most wonderful ways.
An interesting take on war's oceanic steeds of the past. A lot of emotion were held in such vessels. The weight of nations were contained in ships of freedom such as these. Each cannon blast a declaration of freedom and each ignition of powder a flash of hope.
Thats my take at least.
Great write Kerri.

Great
A touching poem about a dear and loving friend, I like your analogies and metaphors very much. You should try a more central theme in them, but they are beautiful nonetheless.

Oh my I don't know what to say, I feel I should be on my horse with sword raised above my head, this is a very humbling experience to have someone see me as such and I am blown away by your words. Thank you so much my friend and know I will always be here if you need me, just whistle
Love, C
