Where are you my Dear, my dearly beloved Soul-mate...?
Are you entrenched with mighty affairs to better the world?
In reoccurring dreams I find your silhouette intoxicating.
Past dreams, awakening, I'm snubbed by the condescending.
What dreaded Dragons have you killed in the Lord's name?
Dear man, above men, your stature must be of Wisdom's frame.
Though 'my blaze' stirs much envy for the foxes which despise-.
You drew me, under the apple tree, with one glance of your eyes.
Are you in your inner chamber where virtue blesses your shrine?
Perhaps it was there 'you offered our part' as a living sacrifice.
Will I find you amidst books, seeking human knowledge grand?
It's humbling to receive you, as Destiny's best, from God's hand.
Oh my loving companion where are you; do you hear my heart's cry?
On the high mountains you’d dwell above the thoughts of men.
I'm feeling rather sorrowful and could use your comfort, friend.
Love's spectrum, within the Rainbow, grows in value to life's end.
Yet in the huts of the poor my sweetness turns their pallet sour.
Come away my Love and we'll fly higher than the sea of man.
As for my empty arms, your love remains my comforting groom.
Till we meet, take care dear heart; our time shall come and soon.

Oh I love Kahlil Gibran especially his work...The Prophet...when I read A Lover's Call XXVII..of course from your link...I love him more...he is such a great writer...as for your poem...I see the making of a fantastic and romantic writer who is truly inspired by the works of Gibran...

similiar
I see a similar them to Kahlil's poem, but you make it your own. You use some of his themes and words, but varied enough.
Your poem could be seen as an answer to his. -

Thank you, Melphleg.
I take very seriously the different comments made on my poetry; yours was very thoughtful and extremely perceptive, thank you my friend.

Remarkable poem and outstanding writing
I love the theme. Your rhymes are great too. I have my soulmate in my husband
Very rich images in dreams and promises coming true. A lot of guidance in leaving things undone in the direction of love.. When it's meant to be, it is! and it is simple as that. It's hard to have life on hold and being impatient with the pace of life. There is a lot of acceptance in your poem, about adjustment and experiencing great change in waiting time. Waiting is not wasting time. It's active involvement and periods of quiet waiting. The noble art of waiting
It's the wisdom of life in the elimination of nonessentials

Brilliantly worded, thank you.
"The noble art of waiting-" is the wisdom of life in the elimination of nonessentials; wow-, that good. Thank you, so much, for your elaborate and wise critique.

While we live in vehicles of flesh and bones and blood none of the emotions known to mankind are alien to us. There are the screams of the heart calling us from the left and the whispers of intuition continuously feeding awareness to the right in between which we are supposed to choose and exist. I ask my heart often to lower the volume of its beckonings in order to be able to hear the hints of intuition, knowing that after I will be freed from matter and energy an overwhelming and different kind of beauty will become part of existence. But at times the heart will only shut up when we write poems like these, like Gibran did. This is a wonderful heartfelt poetical cry of emotion. Thank you for creating and sharing and good luck in the contest. May The Light flood and protect you, always,
Chris

My deepest gratitude, Chris.
Yes, my friend, I quite agree. Within the cycle of life, in these mortal vehicles of flesh and bones, all the emotions of life are kin to us all. However, there are ones on the planet who’ve traded their weaknesses for “Christ’s STRENGTH” to enable them to go beyond the normal limits of man during the dry (loveless) periods of life.
Thank you for your heart-felt words of encouragement, my dear friend. God manifold blessings pour forth upon you, to the glory of God’s glorified Son (the Lion-Lamb/ King).
Cheers,
~Milly
