Who has ever told
the age of seventy
is when one gets old
and can’t feel happy?
Age is a non factor,
just a false notion in head.
I’d like to see my mother
turns even to a hundred!
Winter, autumn and spring,
all have their beauties.
Each for us does bring
a basket full of joy release.
Blessed the day you’re born,
you brought lots of love & joy.
Just like the fresh air of morn
you offered the love we enjoy.

Beautiful
This is a good write...I enjoyed it...Especially theses lines: "Age is a non factor,
just a false notion in head.
I’d like to see my mother
turns even to a hundred!"
In Genesis, it is mentioned that Methuselah lived more than nine and a half centuries, he died at the tender age of 969...So if you are in your seventies, consider not yourself, but strive to live even longer...Once again I enjoyed this write...Peace

Thank you, Shahrzad for such a lovely birthday poem
I agree, age is in the mind of the beholder, and really, I don't feel a day over 29
I love life, and I do plan on seeing that 100th birthday... at least
You're always such a joy, I'm glad we found each other on here
love and
Mom

This piece is such a beautiful birthday dedication to our mom, catz! It is so sweet and is picked with flowers from the heart that blossom through each word that I've read. Keep up the great work, good luck in the contest, and good job on this piece! I'm sure catz will love it!

Thanks for letting me know. A heart-felt tribute. And certainly more appropriate to the moment that what I momentarily mistook for the poem. Keep writing.

Thanks for coming back.

Okay, it's just reserving the space, I suppose. But coming upon the page, with line 1 in boldface, just as if it were a title, followed by a 1-line poem...well, you know, it almost worked.

Thank you dear friend, I've posted my poem now. If you like to read it, you're more than welcome.
