Ordinary Fairytale

With luck comes chance
And with chance comes fate
A destiny unchangable against the wheel of time.

Of the olden days and times of late
Are stories of heroic standards
Knights and peasents become the same
Heroes and those damsels in distress
Given glory and popular names.

Never once are our heroes slandered
Their names never forgotten.
But what happened to the ordinary folk?
Those whose fairytales are left in dreams
And so the story begins:

There once was a girl, an ordinary girl
With a future already set in stone
A patterened life and ordinary regimes.
Unique because she dreames
Dreamed of an ordinary guy with an ordinary life.

Prince Charming's did not appeal to her
She was not a damsel in distress.
Popular among the boys
Guns, sports, challenges were her joys.
She craved someone like herself
Not afraid of a challenge
A guy so ordinary
That he was often looked over.

Waiting for her one and only
She will wait until the end
When the wheel stops spinning
Two worlds collide
And love is found.
