Hidden behind a mask buried deep in the closet
reveals the wonder I surpress inside.
Void of emotions to feed you your daily nutrients
silly games play hide and seek with the real me.
How can I tell you,
If I dont know myself?
Alone and isolated with inner secrets
a split tongue merges with a venomous bite.
A wall built to keep me in
forces you outside, holding you
a safe distance from figuring me out.
Soft spoken words laced in sugar and spice
float through translucent air
like fluffly clouds on a beautiful summer day.
A milky melodramtic tone keeps smiles on their faces
underneath the tough skin lingers an innocent child
timid to welcome anyone into her life.
