Under lock and key and without a world,
I twisted my room...my cube as if a rubik's
Mundane walls became portals
that led to imaginary realms
Latchkeyed and only child,
I became my best friend
I would hold her, and she would hold me,
as we stepped from portal to stars
I grew up in the image of a man,
and she became... me

Beautiful twist of metaphor, just like that rubik's cube - this is, at first a puzzle, then quickly shifts to wonderful.
