The light
Flicking, dancing
At the edges of the path
Traversing patterns
Stuck revolving
Find the place
Where the shadows grow
A choice
Tempting, threatening
Determination at sole decree
Steps in darkness
Turn to light
Shadow stretch far
From where it starts
To lead
Showing, pointing
Signpost silhouetted dark
Open shadows
Fill with health
Love's gift concealing
Fearful lonely hearted ghosts
And give
Offering, receiving
Driving terror's cloud away
Welcome relief
This darkened haven
A blissful shading behind
There lies the burning flame

ah, I had to come and read it again...I was miscuing.....
This is a great poem...it feels angsty to me...and that is a good thing...the shadows that we choose to enter, for respite, for reasons we do not udnerstand, or because we are innately drawn to them.
This is great int hat it makes the reader examine the theme...exactly as a good poem should...
