The breeze stood still just before a crashing tumbled me from the chair I slept in. Mid-way to the floor my eyes glanced upon a bottle of rum that was empty within but outwardly was full as I realized visions play best with closed eyes.
It was as though my treasure led me blind when I stepped onto the deck and saw my ship empty of a crew and floating in waters unchartered by myself. As I gained focus on the waters around me I could see they were still crystal blue and yet foggy.
What caused the crash I searched finding nothing but an empty sea and clear sky. I called out to the White Spirit and could hear no reply, for I had been deafened by the sea's crash of a wave or maybe I just fell from a tipped chair?
In all matters I searched my pockets for my pearl and lo; it was gone, my riches were gone and the dream I thought had come was but a dream of gold in the pearl I had found. Yet did I really find it or the rum instead; were these just visions inside my head?
I struggle in thought to keep my ship veered away from the whirlpool I now see swirling towards me while taking the foggy waters down below; and I wonder what has been real to that of which is a dream and will I ever find the difference of what is and what is not?

It kind of reminds me of Pirates of the Caribbean: At world's End. Not sure why but it does. It's cool you wrote a book.

Death Prince ~~~~ I am not sure how it reminds you of Pirates of the Carribean but am still glad you read this piece. Maybe because of the setting around the sea. thanks again and keep in contact.
