Exchanges of knowledge and realization
You’re so young my fifteen-year-old self
I know life seems so big and irresistible
And it’s so easy to get swept away
Exchanges of knowledge and realization
You seek the attention you never received
And you eat it like a peachy pie
Making yourself sick with fake smiles
And ‘happiness’ that goes unchecked
Exchanges of knowledge and realization
You’re to immature to know what love is
Let him go, let yourself begin to grow
(Bite off his tongue if you certainly must)
You have so much more to give
Than to dwell on fifteen’s infatuation
Exchanges of knowledge and realization
Stop letting the dam of your eyes give way
I know how you feel over and done
Feeling forgotten is self-deception
It’s your weakness and you let it prevail
Wishing that your good days wouldn’t cease
Yearning will do nothing unless you act
Exchanges with you one-on-one
I wish I could still posses your youth
Your whimsical ways never ended
And your life is so very blessed
But most of all I wish to request
That you forget that I said grow up
Because now as I look back on you
I wish I could have done more

I like the repetition of 'Exchanges of knowledge and realization' in the first 4 stanzas and then the switch to 'Exchanges with you one-on-one' in the last, clever. Second stanza, excellent! All in all, wonderfully penned.
Thank you for entering and best of luck to you.
