you grin,
obviously
trying to charm...
I smirk,
roll my eyes,
walk away.
strangely, the same thing happens the next day...
and the next.
you stop grinning one day,
my smirk fades.
the compass can now feel the pull of the poles.
we are magnetic poles,
you and I.
you, the playboy charmer who cares not for the hearts of others,
and I, the one who doesn't simply commands her heart to shut up...
our laughter rings alike,
our eyes are the exact same shade of grey.
we should repel each other,
but Mother Nature dictates otherwise.
Author notes
