Yesterday, along my walk
I saw a duck, so sat to gawk
Staring through me like a hawk
My little duck began to talk
She said: "dear friend,
why do you stare,
to no ammend
and without care?"
I said: "Dear duck,
how harsh you judge.
I came by luck
and bear no grudge."
Said she: "What then,
is it you seek,
that of men,
you daren't bespeak?"
Said I: "Of you,
I ask no deed,
My heart is true
and I've no greed."
So that day
We stared and sat
Till skys grew gray
and that was that.
Author notes
This is completely random and probably meaningless but I just felt like writing something - lol I don't think I'm quite mad yet, but sometimes I have to wonder..

lol. Interesting write. Good imagery in this piece. It would be funny if a duck were to ever start talking to a person, much less asking questions. Good write.
