I had to pull out your photograph the other day.
I knew I couldn't heal any other way.
I'm trying to remember how it ever came to this.
Something you never really had is hard to miss.
Sure we were friends, but the friendship you never claimed.
Then again, I guess you can't really be blamed.
You and I were different... That was our fall.
Now, you act like we've never even met at all.
I sit here on my bed staring at your face.
The photo we took when we were hanging at your place.
The smile I see now belongs to someone I never knew.
You knew things would never last... Heck, I knew it, too.
Go on... You live your life, and I'll live mine.
Let's just, for the sake of things, say I'm fine.
Sometimes, I don't know whether to cry or laugh.
All I know is that I'm sick and tired of looking at this stupid photograph.

This is a great poem! Yeah, boys really can be stupid and can make you feel hurt and betrayed. Very nice rhyming, it pulls it all together. I really loved this! Great job! Thanks for entering and good luck in my contest.

This is a great write on the song. Yes, boys can be stupid. I liked the rhyme and rhythm of the poem. its so weird, how you think that you know someone, but then you find out that everything is a lie. Great write, and thanks for entering my contest!
