wasn't much
but just once I'd like to take first spot
had plenty of seconds and thirds,
but these didn't give me the points I needed
need to take more good pictures
not just average ones
will try harder next year
will it really make any difference if i win top place?
no - so why try?

I think that a lot of people strive for validation, most do it at some time or another. I don't thinks it has to be a bad thing, the striving, for that is my answer - it's all in the reaching ..
